General

Any product that has our Screen Doctor logo warranty sticker is covered for life.
See below for what is covered under our ‘Lifetime Warranty’:

 

  • LCD/OLED defects (dead pixels, bruising, lines, no image)
  • Touch issues
  • Frame separating
  • Home button/3D touch/backlight issues
  • Cracked glass causing lines or frame separation
  • Internal LCD/OLED damage (glass may not be cracked
  • Ripped cables due to improper installation
  • Accidental breaks due to improper installation
  • OLED burn after 30 days of use
  • Touch issues due to compatibility pairing

 

Please note, because our screens are made using original components they are sometimes met with touch issues such as half touch or dead spot in the centre of the screen. This is is recognised as a compatibility issue.
this is because their is two manufactures who produce the screens LG & Toshiba. All our screens are tested on a universal tester before dispatch, if you are faced with this issue then it is likely you are trying to pair an LG screen in a Toshiba phone. The screen will work in the correct device, we will accept returns providing the screen is in unused condition at the buyers expense.

If the warranty sticker is removed or tampered with for any reason we may not honour the warranty. If the display has clear signs of physical damage (cracked front glass or damage to the LCD/OLED) then warranty is void.

We do not refurbish or sell any aftermarket screens.

Store credit is the Screen Doctor digital currency that you can spend on any items sold in our store.

Store credit is +20% of the amount quoted for selling

E.g.

Value of screens to sell is: £100

£100 + 20% = £120

Total store credit amount is: £120

There are a few reasons why this may be:

Dust

During the final stages of refurbishment we carry out the quality control checks to ensure your screen is the best it possibly can be before sending it to you. Sometimes there can be a small cluster of very faint dust particles left inside the screen.

Why is this?

To remove those particles would mean replacing the backlight to clean any dust away, once the backlight is removed it is rendered useless and must be recycled, sometimes the decision is made to leave just a few particles inside the screen to preserve the quality of the original backlight.

This brings onto the next part of the question…

 

Hue

If your LCD has a different hue (has a different tint) then this is usually down to a backlight replacement that has been carried out.

Over time dust or water can cause issues with the backlight. 

On average about 30% of all screens that come through our doors require a new backlight installing. This is a free service that is included with all our services.

Shipping

We use Royal Mail as standard however if you do require another courier or service, please contact us to see if we can accommodate your needs.

We aim to ship within 1 working day across all of our services.

Please bear in mind that during busy periods or for exceptionally large orders there may be a longer waiting period, we will supply you with regular updates on your packages but if you need any extra details then please don’t hesitate to send us a message.

The process for sending your screens goes a little like this:

Packaging your screens is important, poorly packed parcels can result in breakages during shipment resulting in more failed screens and reduced profits.

There are numerous ways to package your screens but we find the best is in individual bubble pouches ensuring that all cables are not bent. Pack out any loose space in the box to prevent your screens rattling around in the box.

If we have sent you money in the past your bank details will be saved in our banking app, so unless your bank details have changed since we paid you last then there is no need to resend these details.

It is important to always leave your name and email address inside your package, failing to leave your contact details inside the parcel can cause delays.

In most cases we will have your test report sent to you within 1 working day of it arriving, there could be a number of reasons why this is so:

  • Your email is in your junk emails
  • There was no contact detail inside the parcel
  • Your parcel has not arrived yet

Not to worry, we understand your decision may rest upon what screens pass the test report, that’s why after testing we send your test report to you so that you can decide how you’d like to continue.

If you’d like to sell some and refurbish others that’s absolutely fine, once you’ve received your test report just inform us of how you would like to proceed and we will send a personised test report with a breakdown of the prices for your desired course of action.

Many factors can effect how long the process can take us – from how many packages we receive through the door that day to how big they are too.

On average a box of 100 screens would take us an hour or two to process. Rest assured we aim to process all orders within 1 working day of receiving them.

As long as you have provided a form or your contact details we will contact you as soon as your order has been tested.

You can send as many screens as you like.

Yes.

We generally only accept orders of 5 screens or more. if you would like to send less than 5 please message us.

Sometimes your report might not come as you expected. Maybe you have less passes than you were expecting or maybe the number of screens you send does not match that on your test report.

If this is the case simply send us a message and we will look into this right away for you.

All of our screens from the 6S series and beyond come with a piece of adhesive as standard.

Refurbishment

Once you’ve received your test report, and informed us of your choice of colours (if applicable) we will set up the order through our website.

You will receive an email containing the order details, when the balance is paid and your order has been processed and completed we will package and send your order.

In most cases your order will be sent the same day as payment is received however in busy periods or for larger orders there may be slight delays, if your would like to know when your order will be sent please don’t hesitate to ask.

Once you have received your test report, we can not continue with setting up your order until you have informed us which colours you would like your LCD’s.

We offer the same lifetime warranty on all our products.

Payment will normally be made to your nominated account within just a few hours of confirmation but may take up to 1 working day.

We buy some broken models and pay by weight for your aftermaket displays.

We are happy to send your screens back to you, all we require is a postage label provided by you.
